Job Description

PT Bumi Barito Mineral is an established coal company which focusing metallurgical coal production currently require a fully dedicated and motivated person to fill some position as a Senior Geologist.

Job Role:

1. Supervise and/or carry out exploration projects and evaluation programs.
2. Act as a coordinator wellsite geologist. Ensure that all geologists are undertaking their roles effectively.
3. Assist other departments with tasks that involve geological issues including social issues.
4. Provide senior level technical advice and direction to management and staff. 
5. Assist in preparing budget requests and negotiation contracts for exploration as needed.
6. Ensure exploration data is well documented for accuracy and quality in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Keep current on new developments in geology and other fields that might improve efficiency in developing, handling and interpreting geologic data.
8. Possesses a positive attitude at all times and good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of experience in exploration and mine geologist.
2. Degree in Technical Geology
3. Have experience work in metallurgical coal.
4. Willing to work in remote area.
5. Must have a strong commitment to safety in the working environment.
6. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
7. Good working knowledge and skill with a PC utilizing office applications, GIS software and Geological modeling software.
8. Good communication skills in English.
